    • Le Bimbillou Parc: a unique theme park in the heart of Périgord

In Brantôme, nicknamed the "Venice of Périgord," lies a place like no other: Bimbillou Parc, a troglodyte theme park that takes you on a journey through time. Here, there are no noisy rides or artificial settings: the playground is natural and steeped in history.

Upon crossing the wrought iron arch, the visitor is immediately transported to another universe: mysterious caves, troglodyte cavities, a mill dug into the rock by the Benedictine monks of Brantôme, an unfinished hotel resembling a ruined abbey and a troglodyte house frozen in time.

An immersive experience between history and leisure

Bimbillou Parc is not a static site: it is a thematic adventure to be experienced as a family. Throughout the trail, around ten traditional wooden games, inspired by the entertainment of yesteryear, allow you to have fun while reconnecting with the simplicity of yesteryear. An enigmatic treasure hunt completes the visit, inviting young and old to solve mysteries while exploring every nook and cranny of the site.

Each stage of the journey is designed as an immersion: we observe, we play, we discover, we learn, and above all, we share. It is this rare combination of heritage discovery and fun entertainment that makes Bimbillou a truly unique theme park in the Dordogne.

An adventure born from a family story

This project is above all a story of transmission. Two young cousins, Théo Bauchaud-Martinot (22 years old) and Tom Gilbert (26 years old), have taken over from their grandfather, Claude Martinot, founder of the Font Vendôme motorhome brand and passionate about antique objects. Claude had accumulated thousands of tools and everyday treasures, dreaming of giving them a second life.

In 2023, a few months after his passing, his grandsons made his dream come true by opening Bimbillou Parc. Through this site, they pay tribute to their ancestor and invite visitors to share this extraordinary family heritage.

      A waterfront theme park

Nestled on the banks of the Dronne, the park benefits from an exceptional natural setting. The coolness of the caves (15°-18°) provides welcome natural air conditioning in summer. After the adventure, everyone can extend the experience with a drink or an ice cream in the park's tavern-guinguette, or stay at the adjoining campervan area, to fully experience this unique setting.

In short, Bimbillou Parc is much more than a troglodyte site: it's a true historical and family theme park, where heritage, period games, puzzles, nature and conviviality come together. An immersive and original experience in the Dordogne, which appeals to both the curious and families in search of authentic discoveries.
