Bimbillou Parc: a unique theme park in the heart of Périgord

In Brantôme, nicknamed the "Venice of the Périgord," lies a truly unique place: Bimbillou Parc, a troglodyte theme park that immerses you in a journey back in time. Here, there are no noisy rides or artificial scenery: the playground is natural and steeped in history.

Upon passing through the wrought iron arch, the visitor is immediately transported into another world: mysterious caves, troglodytic cavities, a mill carved into the rock by the Benedictine monks of Brantôme, an unfinished hotel resembling a ruined abbey and a troglodytic house frozen in time.

Bimbillou Park isn't a static site; it's a themed adventure to experience as a family. Along the way, a dozen traditional wooden games, inspired by bygone forms of entertainment, offer fun while reconnecting with the simpler times. An enigmatic treasure hunt completes the visit, inviting young and old alike to solve mysteries while exploring every nook and cranny of the park.

An adventure born from a family story

This project is above all a story of passing on a legacy. Two young cousins, Théo Bauchaud-Martinot (22 years old) and Tom Gilbert (26 years old), have taken up the torch from their grandfather, Claude Martinot, founder of the Font Vendôme motorhome brand and a passionate collector of antique objects. Claude had amassed thousands of tools and everyday treasures, dreaming of giving them a second life.

In 2023, a few months after his passing, his grandsons fulfilled his dream by opening Bimbillou Parc. Through this site, they pay tribute to their grandfather and invite visitors to share in this extraordinary family heritage.

A theme park by the water

Nestled on the banks of the Dronne River, the park boasts an exceptional natural setting. The coolness of the caves (15°-18°C) provides welcome natural air conditioning in summer. After the adventure, visitors can extend the experience with a drink or an ice cream in the park's café, or even stay at the adjacent campervan site to fully enjoy this unique setting.
