THE LIMEUIL OFFICE, AT THE CONFLUENT OF THE DORDOGNE AND VÉZÈRE

On January 1, 2017, the town of Limeuil joined the Valley of Man Valley Community of Communes and in fact the Limeuil office, the Tourist Office Lascaux-Dordorgne, Vézère Valley. The Tourist Office now has 5 Tourist Information offices: Montignac-Lascaux, Les Eyzies, Rouffignac, Le Bugue, Limeuil and 1 Info Point: Saint-Amand de Coly.

It is in Limeuil that the Dordogne and the Vézère meet, lovingly bordering the medieval city. Limeuil was one of the cradles of nascent humanity. The village was also a thriving city in the 19th century thanks to its port and its center of skippers. Remember that the Vézère valley contains no less than 15 sites which constitute 1 property listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. Limeuil takes its place among the jewels of Périgord, labeled in 1990 "The Most Beautiful Villages of France". Nestled on its rocky promontory, the village of character welcomes you all year round in an exceptional natural environment, in the heart of steep alleys lined with architectures typical of the Périgord Noir.
