Directions Paunat - Thousand-year-old church and remarkable garden in Paunat in the Dordogne

About

  • English
    • The church with its bell tower porch was consecrated in 991. The current church has a rectangular choir dating from the 12th century and which was vaulted with ribs in the 14th century. The current nave was built in the 15th century. As for the bell tower porch, it has not undergone any alterations since its construction in the 12th century. The Chartreuse du Colombier is surrounded by a 2-hectare park, labeled a Remarkable Garden. The stroll takes place from the vegetable garden with its old roses, from the greenhouse to the music pavilion, between boxwood, a fountain and Italian-inspired statues.
