    • In the Périgord Noir, in the hollow of the Dordogne valley under the protection of the castles of Beynac and Castelnaud, the Lagrèze house perpetuates the local culinary tradition.

      Family-run under the leadership of founder Pascal Lagrèze, the Lagrèze Foie Gras team has been concocting goose and duck foie gras, confits, pâtés, rillettes, and also cooked dishes that have made the reputation of Périgord for almost 40 years.

      At Lagrèze we don't breed, we don't force-feed... We are PRESERVATIVES!

      We seek out the best foie gras and confits from various Périgord suppliers that meet our purchasing standards of excellence.

      And the result is there; 20 medals in the general agricultural competition, a clientele that has followed us from the very beginning and which is growing.

      Our products are now found not only in gourmet cellars and in many delicatessens, but are also available on our website and during your vacation in our shops in Sarlat and Vézac.

    The semi-cooked duck foie gras I bought at the Aix-en-Provence Christmas market was more than disappointing. It had a chalky texture, no flavor, and was priced well above the low end. Foie gras that crumbles is a first for me.

    As a souvenir of their vacation, my parents gave me a whole 5% truffled foie gras from Périgord for over 35 euros for a modest 90g. But unfortunately, I can't say it's bad! Nor can I say it's good! Because this one has NO TASTE!!! A sensation of eating air? So it's still very disappointing for a gourmet product. Even the piece of truffle didn't even taste like a button mushroom grown in Poland. I suggest you review your recipe. Sincerely,
