The Sarlat Christmas Market takes place this year from December 3 to 31, 2025 on the Place de la Grande Rigaudie in a magical setting of garlands, carols and fir trees. Stroll the streets of the town and immerse yourself in the unique world of Christmas through the illuminations that light up this magnificent medieval city, before sipping a glass of mulled wine at the Marché de Sarlat. A friendly and family place

The Christmas Market in Sarlat is a friendly, family-friendly place to find the finest gifts to put under the tree. Open daily from 10am to 8pm (10pm on Fridays and Saturdays), the illuminated chalets present a range of beautiful creations, including books by local authors, colorful modern decorations, handmade soaps, aromatic oils, hand-woven textiles, designer jewelry and scented candles. Traditional as well as new products can be discovered along the market aisles, a magical stroll punctuated by meetings with artisans, producers and shopkeepers.

Are you a gourmet? Visit the stands selling local produce and traditional Christmas treats such as nougat, roasted chestnuts, chocolates and panettones. Pancakes, Liège waffles, confectionery, Christmas cakes, Neuvic caviar, cheeses, charcuterie, churros and pralines - there's something to suit every taste and taste. Entertainment for young and old

The Sarlat Christmas Market is also an opportunity to strap on your skates and glide across the two ice rinks set up on the Place de la Grande Rigaudie. The smaller rink, designed for babies, features penguin stakes, while the 300 m2 main rink is open to older children, who can take to the ice for some great fun. You can rent skates in your size, or bring your own if you're a regular skater, before equipping yourself with a pair of gloves and a hat. Skate even if it rains at the Sarlat Christmas Market!

Come with the family, all day long during the holidays, the toy library organizes activities for children and DIY workshops, there is also a circuit of small cars and small shows. You can take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, admire the artists who perform in the market and also concerts and Christmas carols.

Don't forget to take a selfie on the panels reserved for this purpose at the entrance to the Christmas Market, like in a snow- covered ball and... to put your letter in Santa's mailbox! And to come and see him, in his chalet (the little ones are always amazed by it).

• The 70 chalets are open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturdays until 10 p.m. The 16 chalets of the place gourmande will be open until 11 p.m. on weekends and every evening during school holidays. December 24 and 31 closing at 6 p.m. Closed December 25 all day.
• Father Christmas is of course there! He will be present every weekend, Wednesday and every day during the holidays until December 24th. Come and meet him in his cabin.
