    • LES PÉPITES BASQUES: A BASQUE SHOP IN THE HEART OF PÉRIGUEUX

      Handmade and authentic products

Located on the Place du Coderc, in the heart of Périgueux, the Les Pépites Basques boutique invites you to discover the culinary riches of the Basque Country.

This warm and gourmet place showcases products from artisanal know-how and a regional tradition rooted in authenticity.

      A rich and varied selection

In this grocery store, each product tells a story.

Among the specialties offered, we find charcuterie such as the famous Bayonne ham, cheeses with delicate aromas, sauces and traditional cooked dishes such as axoa, piperade or even Basque chicken.

Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted by a range of carefully prepared Basque biscuits and cakes, including the Basque cake with cream or black cherry.

Espelette pepper products also find their place in this shop, offering typical flavors of the Basque region.

To enhance meals, carefully prepared appetizers and preserves complete this selection.

      Know-how transmitted with passion

At the helm of Les Pépites Basques, Émilie, passionate about her region of origin, is fully invested in promoting the culinary traditions of the Basque Country.

Coming from a family where home cooking was a given, she perpetuates this heritage by preparing some of the sweet treats available in the store in her workshop located in Larressore, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

Émilie is committed to selecting quality raw materials to guarantee tasty and authentic products. With this in mind, she limits the addition of sugar and favors ingredients that respect the original flavors.

      A place for food lovers

The Les Pépites Basques boutique has quickly become a must-see place for gourmets passing through Périgueux and for local residents.

Far from being a simple grocery store, this business embodies a space for sharing around Basque culture, bringing together unique products and the expertise of committed producers.

To discover in Périgueux and around Périgueux

During your stay, let yourself be seduced by the cultural and historical riches of the Périgord Blanc.

Périgueux , the capital of the region, offers a fascinating dive into its past. Each street, each monument reveals a fragment of history, between medieval heritage and Roman influence.

Chancelade Abbey, with its Romanesque architecture dating from the 10th to the 12th century and its peaceful gardens, invites you to take a contemplative break.

Nearby, the Périgord Military Museum retraces the region's great epics through an exceptional collection of weapons, uniforms and historical objects.

The Saint-Front Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, impresses with its unique architecture combining Romanesque and Byzantine influences. Its towers and domes proudly dominate the city, offering a unique view of its historic center.

Art and history enthusiasts will find what they are looking for at the MAAP - Musée d'art et d'archéologie du Périgord, which presents treasures ranging from Prehistory to the Renaissance.

Not far from there, the Saint-Étienne-de-la-Cité church, with its luminous stained glass windows and Romanesque façade, is another unmissable stop.

Lovers of local markets will be delighted by the weekly events on the Place du Coderc and Place de la Clautre, where the flavors and colors of local products mingle in a friendly atmosphere.

For an immersion in Antiquity, the VESUNNA museum site reveals the remains of the ancient Gallo-Roman city, thanks to interactive exhibitions and captivating reconstructions.

In addition, the Mataguerre Tower and the Vésone Tower , medieval remains, recall the tumultuous history of the region.

For a nature break, the Jardin des Arènes offers a green setting perfect for strolling among flowerbeds and century-old trees.

A few kilometers away, golfers will appreciate the Golf de Périgueux .

Finally, the surroundings of Périgueux also have treasures in store: authentic villages, rolling landscapes and historical sites to explore along the paths. The charm of the region makes it an ideal destination for a cultural and gourmet stay.

The greenway along the banks of the Isle offers a privileged setting for lovers of walks and outdoor activities. Linking Trélissac , Périgueux and Marsac-sur-l'Isle , this secure route runs along the Isle River for almost 20 kilometres. Ideal for walks, bike rides or rollerblading, this green route invites you to discover peaceful natural landscapes, while crossing dynamic urban areas. With its rest areas and easy access, the greenway appeals to families, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers, eager to enjoy a moment of relaxation in the heart of the Périgord Blanc.
