  A while ago, we took the food tour offered by the tourist office. We were already somewhat familiar with the local cuisine and the city of Périgueux, but we were treated to a feast for the eyes (and stomachs) throughout the afternoon. It was a truly special experience where the commentary from the producers and restaurateurs about their (of course, local!) products was a real bonus and was greatly appreciated by the whole family. Duck, mushrooms, cheese, strawberries, walnuts—they covered it all. A special thank you to our very young guide, Clémence, who accompanied us professionally all afternoon despite the heat. Her extensive knowledge allowed her to answer our many questions with accuracy and passion. We enjoyed the conversations. It's always a pleasure to see young people taking an interest in and bringing our heritage to life.
