MAAP - Museum of Art and Archeology of Périgord Museum of Art and History in downtown Périgueux

Enter a grand 19th-century institution, full of charm with its high, colorful walls and creaking parquet floors.

You will discover fabulous collections there:

• Prehistory (4th national collection),
• Medieval (original capitals from St-Front Cathedral),
• Fine arts from the 16th to the 20th century in Europe, France and Périgord and non-European ethnography Africa, Oceania (7th national collection).

Five exhibitions per year, including contemporary art and public services, are offered to all audiences. Free visitor guides and activity booklets are available. Events are held from October to April as part of the "Thursdays at the Museum" program, and the museum participates in Museum Night and Heritage Days.
