    • CHÂTEAU DE FAYOLLE: THE  unexpected in perigord

      A remarkable architectural heritage

The Château de Fayolle, located in Tocane Saint-Âpre, in the Périgord Vert, is a precious witness to the architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries.
This majestic residence, listed as a Historic Monument (ISMH), stands proudly in a 55-hectare green park, offering a deep immersion in the history and culture of the region.

Built in 1766 on the foundations of a medieval building, the Château de Fayolle reflects the elegance and refinement of its time.
Its two main buildings, completed in 1766 and 1893 respectively, bear witness to the architectural and artistic developments which have marked past centuries. The consecrated chapel, the sumptuous lounges and the period theater add to the rich heritage of the castle.

      Discover a magical site

Château de Fayolle reopened its doors on 12 April 2025 for its first official season, which will run until 2 November 2025 and hold a host of surprises in store for visitors.

Want to travel back in time? Opt for a storytelling tour or come and see our Grand Spectacle Immersif on the 5, 6, 12, 13 and 14th of July.

Are you more of an explorer ? Why not take a self-guided tour or an Urbex-style tour?

And to liven up your summer evenings, Fayolle offers a rich and original summer programme : the Guinguette du Château, open-air cinema sessions and original shows during the Marquis'Arts Festival.

      An enchanting natural setting

The Château de Fayolle is nestled in the heart of a 55-hectare park, offering unspoilt nature ideal for relaxation and walking. The vast green spaces and gardens offer breathtaking views of the different parts of the castle. The park is a true haven of peace, inviting you to contemplate and discover the local flora.

The castle grounds also house historic outbuildings, including a dovecote and smallholdings, bearing witness to the rural life of yesteryear.
Shaded walkways and winding paths allow visitors to stroll at their own pace, enjoying the natural beauty of the area.

THE NEW OWNERS OF CHÂTEAU DE FAYOLLE: A NEW ERA

Grégory and Florence Mangeret are the new owners of Château de Fayolle, marking a significant turning point in the history of this sublime residence.

After belonging to a single family for more than 900 years, the castle was acquired by this passionate couple on March 13, 2024.

Florence, originally from Ribéracois in the Périgord Vert, and Grégory, founder of Productions Adonis specializing in the organization of general public events with strong media impact in the field of entertainment and culture, saw in this project much more than a simple real estate acquisition.

Their love for the Périgord Vert and their desire to breathe new life into an exceptional heritage guided them to the Château de Fayolle.
For them, this castle represents a dream come true and a mission of the heart: to restore this property to its former beauty and glory. The couple's ambition is to open the doors of the castle to the public this summer 2024, despite the restoration work in progress. They want to offer an authentic immersion in the 19th century, allowing visitors to travel back in time.

Grégory and Florence Mangeret plan to make the Château de Fayolle a real living space, in tune with its times, while celebrating its illustrious past.
They aspire to share their love for the Périgord Vert and to transform this architectural jewel into a dynamic and welcoming place, open to all.

      Discovering the surroundings

Self-guided tour. The castle is currently being restored, but it's well worth the detour. The rooms on display are furnished, adding extra charm to the building. Go ahead!
