Cadouin Youth Hostel: Authentic accommodation in the Dordogne
Located in the heart of Périgord, in the charming medieval village of Cadouin, the Abbaye Youth Hostel offers a unique and historically rich setting.
Located in a 12th century Cistercian abbey, classified as a Historical Monument and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers an unforgettable stay close to the treasures of the Dordogne.
The hostel welcomes travellers, families and groups in a friendly atmosphere, while guaranteeing comfort and safety thanks to its approvals from the Academic Inspection and Youth and Sports.
Rooms and accommodations:
The hostel offers 80 beds spread across different types of accommodation to meet all needs:
- 6 double rooms (or single rooms for rent)
- 1 room accessible to people with reduced mobility
- 16 rooms with 3 to 6 beds
- 1 dormitory with 10 beds
- 2 bedrooms with bunk beds
Each room offers a pleasant view of the cloister, the inner courtyard or the village square.
Bed linen is provided and the rooms have a private bathroom (some have shared toilets).The hostel's common areas:
Visitors are free to enjoy the outdoor spaces, the garden, the inner courtyard, and a shared kitchen for preparing their meals. Lounges invite relaxation and conversation.
For groups, associations or companies, the hostel offers:
- A modular meeting room, ideal for seminars or educational activities.
- a vaulted room, perfect for meals, events or moments of sharing.
Local cuisine and regional products
The inn's restaurant offers home-style cooking that is friendly and delicious, prepared with local and seasonal produce. Meals (starter, main course, dessert) are served at lunchtime and in the evening, every day, with options to suit all diets (including vegetarian).

Coming to the Cadouin Inn
Free parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the hostel, as well as a bus parking area at the edge of the village. Secure bicycle storage is also available.
