  A beautifully preserved winery with a vast and fascinating collection of traditional wine production items. The tour given in English by a very passionate & welcoming owner told us the history of the winery and gave explanations of each process involved in the making of the wine. A small shop with a selection of wines, books, gifts & delicious jam. Thank you.

  This is a surprisingly interesting place to visit. Though the cultivation of wine has disappeared from this area, that has helped to preserve this winery very well. After it closed in the 1960’s nothing happened here for decades. It allows you to step back in time, visit the wooden interior, especially the wooden wine making vats are spectacular. The wooden vats are huge, and one floor up you will see the press that can be moved over iron rails, as can the grape-carts coming in. The wood-frame is beautifully made. In the former storage areas a collection of utensils and historic photographs tell the story of wine production and the particular products produced here. There are exploratory activities for children, though you might need someone to translate the French instructions.
