    • Dating back to the 13th century, the Moulin de la Veyssière, located in Neuvic, in the heart of the Périgord Blanc region, is now almost a thousand years old. The last working mill in the Vern Valley, we produce distinctive oils and flours : walnut, hazelnut, almond, and peanut. Our oils are handcrafted, following a family tradition passed down since 1857.

Between history and gastronomy, our artisanal production is associated with responsible and sustainable production, in perpetual pursuit of innovation and excellence.

As true enthusiasts of our French terroirs, we pay particular attention to the selection of our raw materials. Exclusively sourced from local producers, our production is 100% French.

Our priority is to share our heritage and expertise with you. We welcome you year-round to the Moulin de la Veyssière in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere ! We offer free 30-minute guided tours that will reveal all the secrets of our oils and our history. At the end of the tour , you will be offered a tasting of our oils.

And because quality is now an act of commitment, we have made it our priority. Since 2015, we have been recognized as Quality Artisan Producers by the Collège Culinaire de France. Our oils have also won awards in various competitions. In particular, we received a gold medal at the 2023 Concours Général Agricole for our Périgord walnut oil (AOP).

You will find all our oils and flours, as well as a selection of gourmet products made by hand in our shop located in the old bakery of the mill.

Oil production all year round, Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm

      The mill welcomes you:

      • From September to June:

      - Monday to Friday: 9:30am - 12:30pm and 2pm - 6pm
      - Saturday: 2pm - 6pm

      • From July to August:

      - Monday to Friday: 9:30am - 7pm
      - Saturday: 9:30 am - 6 pm

      Practical information:

      • Free visit, no reservation required, complimentary tasting
      • Tours depart every 30 minutes from 9:30 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5:30 pm

(First tour departs at 9:30 am. Last tour departs at 5:30 pm)

In spring 2021, three new spaces were inaugurated to extend your exploration of the Moulin de la Veyssière:

      • A museum space dedicated to: the history of the mill and the Elias family, the cultivation of nuts, the production of oils and their benefits.
      • An educational orchard, showcasing different varieties of walnut, hazelnut and almond trees originating from France and elsewhere.
      • A shaded picnic area along the mill's tailrace canal.

An authentic mill, primarily used for extracting walnut oil, powered by water. A very interesting guided tour is offered by the owner. During the week, you can watch the oil-making process. The oils produced and sold on-site—walnut, hazelnut, peanut, and almond—are excellent. For groups, there's a tasting at the end of the tour. Informative and entertaining, this is a visit not to be missed in Neuvic. A warm welcome awaits.
