1. Follow Bedaud's gaze on the Place de la Liberté in Sarlat-la-Canéda

The medieval town of Sarlat-la-Canéda is one of the must-see attractions in the Périgord region. It's the perfect image to capture for your photo album of your next Périgord holiday. The Place de la Liberté (Liberty Square) is located in the heart of the town. To reach it, you'll have to wander through its charming medieval cobbled streets. Throughout the summer, this is one of the liveliest spots in Sarlat, with street performances taking place all day long, traditional restaurants, and shops. Le Bedaud has settled down on a high vantage point to admire the square in all its grandeur…

2. At the summit of the Côte de Jor for a magnificent view

Gain a new perspective in Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère. You can confidently explore the village, its picturesque alleyways, its magnificent Romanesque church, its artisans, and its charming little restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal, soak up the atmosphere, or simply relax. Saint-Léon is a delight in every season; in summer, its heart pulsates with life, filled with festivals and art stalls throughout the village. But for a truly magical and unique view, head to the Côte de Jor viewpoint, perched atop the hill overlooking the village!

Before leaving the Périgord Noir region, we suggest you witness the confluence of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. Just after the confluence, a natural wonder awaits you: the Cingle de Trémolat. It's a perfectly formed semicircle, created by a meander of the Dordogne River. Yet another facet of this river, which is sure to surprise you.

In Périgueux, the most iconic city of the Périgord Blanc region, Saint-Front Cathedral offers a breathtaking view. 5. A photo at La Roque-Gageac, unbeatable

La Roque-Gageac ? It's one of the most popular villages in the Périgord region. It's picture-perfect, with the Dordogne River flowing at its feet, tropical plants blooming throughout the village, and a microclimate that ensures it's always sunny. Stroll through the village, climb to a higher vantage point, and enjoy the magnificent view. For a great photo, head to the top and take a short detour to the Fort de la Roque-Gageac !

8. The view from Domme, spectacular all year round

Domme is a hilltop village located in the Dordogne Valley. Climb to the top of the village in summer and during the warmer months, and enjoy its artisans, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Take a tour of its caves, visit the Porte des Tours (Tower Gate), and above all, don't miss the magnificent panoramic view from the Belvédère de la Barre viewpoint.

9. A free walk for sensational photos

The Château de Campagne is open year-round. Owned by the department, this château features an arboretum, a magnificent stone staircase leading to a national forest with its traditional stone huts (cluzeaux), a climbing area, a beautiful woodland, and a viewpoint overlooking the Vézère Valley (right at the top!). It's a perfect spot for taking stunning photographs, thanks to the variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers, the hornbeam maze, and the kitchen garden. Follow the winding path and watch the water meander through the garden.
