Le Rucher du Marandou All the aromas of authentic honey from the Périgord Noir region

  • English
    • Located in Saint-Avit-de-Vialard, in the heart of the Périgord Noir, Le Rucher du Marandou is a human-sized apiary founded in 2012 by Benoît Serre.
Born from an initial contact with beekeeping in a family setting, the apiary has developed over the years around a passion for bees and honey, in a preserved natural environment.
Today, Le Rucher du Marandou offers a beautiful diversity of local honeys (acacia, chestnut, linden, forest…) as well as gourmet artisanal specialties based on honey: spreads, candies, mead, honey mustard… Enough to delight lovers of authentic flavors.
The shop, located opposite a beehive, welcomes you for a simple and friendly tasting experience. It's an opportunity to discover the different textures and aromas of honey, to chat about the beekeeping profession… and above all, to enjoy yourself !
Located just minutes from must-see tourist attractions such as the Bournat Park or the Bugue Aquarium, the visit can easily be integrated into a day exploring the Périgord region.
The shop is open from June 29th to August 31st, Tuesday to Saturday, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Outside of this period, we are happy to welcome you by appointment.

We discovered the apiary by chance. The vendor was incredibly kind and offered great advice; the honeys were excellent, with a variety of flavors. The spread was delicious. We left with a few jars and will definitely order from the website again. Thank you.
