Tursac Towns, Villages and bastides in Tursac

Tursac is located in the Vézère Valley, on the road between Montignac and Les Eyzies, it is an essential place for prehistoric discoveries, like the whole region! But in Tursac, is the site of the Madeleine, a village where excavations in a deposit gave their name to the last phase of the Upper Paleolithic: the Magdalenian! Come and visit the Village of the Madeleine with shelters under rocks and well-preserved semi-troglodyte dwellings.

In Tursac, we continue the journey into the past with a visit to the Prehisto Parc, a dinosaur park with a forest path and activities in summer. You can also go to the discovery of the cliff castle of the Maison Forte de Reignac, a superb ensemble built on the rock, with a visit that takes you from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages.

If you like Castles, do not miss the one in Marzac, which is located opposite the Madeleine, on the other side of the Vézère on the high cliff. We can see it from the village of Tursac. In summer, you can have an Escape Game there.

In Tursac, just at the entrance of the village, there is a goose farm, with a shop to buy regional products and from this farm. 2 good restaurants are open in the center of the village and if you prefer picnics, go to the banks of the Vézère river, just after the bridge there is a nautical stop where canoes disembark. Hiking enthusiasts will find several trails that pass through Tursac (be careful, it climbs).
