Knight's show and nighttime show at La Roque Saint-Christophe

During school holidays, long weekends, and this summer, La Roque Saint-Christophe (see website for details) offers (at no extra cost!) an equestrian show to learn more about the relationship between a knight and his steed. And for the first time in 2024, a nighttime show will take place on the main terrace at dusk!

Guillaume and Bayard's Show

Guillaume is a knight (late ^12th, early ^13th century). He lives at La Roque and is a knight of the local lord. He will tell you about his daily life and his very special relationship with Bayard, his horse. This show will take place several times a day, several days a week, at the foot of the cliffs of La Roque Saint-Christophe. This is a place usually closed to the public! The show is included in the entrance fee to La Roque, but it does not take place in the same location. The nighttime spectacle of Roque Saint-Christophe

For the first time, the Roque Saint-Christophe will be open to the public after nightfall ! From Monday to Thursday, starting at 9 pm, throughout the summer, the Roque opens its doors and invites you to a breathtaking nighttime spectacle. Guilhem the illuminator will share one of his dreams with you… through 17 images projected onto the backdrop of the rock shelter on the main terrace. A giant mapping display, sumptuous color images enhanced by a soundscape. You can stroll around and enjoy the show and the nighttime view over the Vézère Valley !

During school holidays and summer breaks, discover the activities and workshops at La Roque Saint-Christophe. Learn flint knapping, how to recognize birdsong, how to make fire without matches, how to carve slate, how to make music with prehistoric instruments, all about medieval cooking… You'll learn while having fun!
