1) Follow the gaze of Bedaud on Place de la Liberté in Sarlat-la-Canéda

The medieval city of Sarlat-la-Canéda is one of the essential visits of Périgord. This is therefore the image to capture, for your photo album of your next Perigord holiday. Place de la Liberté is located in the heart of the city. To reach it, you will have to wander through its charming medieval cobbled streets. Throughout the summer, this place is one of the liveliest in Sarlat, with street performances taking place throughout the day, traditional restaurants and shops. Le Bedaud has settled in height to admire the place in all its magnitude...

2) At the top of the Côte de Jor for a grandiose landscape

Take to the skies in Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère. You can without fear visit the village, its picturesque streets, its sumptuous Romanesque church, its craftsmen and its small restaurants where it is good to eat, live, take a break... Saint-Léon is a treat in all seasons, summer its heart vibrates and comes alive with festivals and art stalls all over the village. But to appreciate a magical and singular point of view, go to the Côte de Jor viewpoint, at the very top of the hill facing the village!

3) Meeting of a river and a river, at the bend of a bend…

Before leaving the Périgord Noir, we invite you to attend the meeting of the river, the Dordogne, and the river, the Vézère. This confluence point in Limeuil has an additional point of interest: two magnificent bridges span the rivers. Arm your camera and shoot the scene from all angles. They all deserve a shot!

Just after the confluence, a natural curiosity awaits you: the Cingle de Trémolat. It is a perfectly drawn semi-circle, formed by a meander of the Dordogne. Yet another facet of this river, which will not fail to surprise you.

4) An angelic view from the dome of Saint-Front Cathedral in Périgueux

In the most emblematic city of Périgord Blanc, Périgueux, the Saint-Front cathedral is the monument that offers you an exceptional point of view. Below, you will admire its unusual architecture, with this white stone which gave its name to this part of Périgord, and its astonishing domes. Recently, you can even climb on its roof... There's nothing like taking a picture of this ancient Roman city!

5) A photo at La Roque Gageac, unbeatable

La Roque Gageac? It is one of the favorite villages of visitors to Périgord. It is worthy of a postcard, with the Dordogne flowing at its feet, its tropical plants in the village which is always well exposed to the sun and enjoys a microclimate. Stroll through the village, gain height and enjoy a magnificent view. For a great photo, go to the very top and take a short walk to Fort de la Roque Gageac!

The good idea: Take a boat trip from La Roque-Gageac to find out more about the epic of the gabarriers on the Dordogne.

6) Romantic photo in Brantôme, the “Venice of Périgord Vert”

Brantôme is indeed the most bucolic town in the Dordogne! Walk hand in hand on the banks of the Dronne, take a boat trip on the water, followed by a picnic at the foot of a weeping willow, before visiting the peaceful Abbey of Brantôme... find perfect sites to take a beautiful photo of a couple, against the backdrop of this romantic setting of the Périgord Vert.

7) Nature photo report in the Auvézère Gorges

The Périgord Vert is the most rural and natural territory of the Dordogne. We therefore take you there for a photo report, to surprise the wildlife of Périgord. Ornithology enthusiasts will be able to practice capturing a few shots in mid-flight. It is a hike not to be missed for nature lovers. Experienced photographers will even be able to perfect their “silky water effect” technique!

8) The Domme viewpoint, spectacular all year round

Domme is a perched village, located in the Dordogne Valley. Climb to the top of the village, in summer and in summer, enjoy its craftsmen, restaurants and souvenir shops. Go for a walk in its caves, visit the Porte des Tours, and above all do not miss the sumptuous panoramic view of the belvedere of the bar.

9) A free ride for sensational photos

The Château de Campagne is open all year round. It is a castle which belongs to the Department, one will find there an arboretum, a sumptuous stone staircase which leads to a national forest with Cluzeaux, a site of climbing, a very beautiful forest and a point of view on the Valley of the Vézère (at the top!). It is a perfect place to take beautiful photos, thanks to the species of trees, shrubs, flowers, in the labyrinth of arbors, in the vegetable garden... Follow the serpentine, the flow of water which plays with the plant elements…
