- The "Aux Bories de Marquay" guest house is a 10-minute drive from the medieval town of Sarlat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It enjoys a central location in the Périgord Noir region, making it easy to explore the wonderful villages and castles of the Dordogne Valley or the prehistoric sites of the Vézère Valley.
  
  The former farmhouse houses five guest rooms, including two family suites and a self-catering cottage. All rooms were renovated in 2018, are air-conditioned, and each has a private entrance. Stepping into the rose-lined courtyard, you feel as if you've entered a tiny village, where you become a resident during your stay.
  
  To start the day off right, a delicious breakfast awaits you every morning : unlimited hot drinks, fresh bread, fresh fruit juice, homemade jams and pastries, yogurts, an assortment of cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruit…
  
  After a long day of sightseeing, what could be more pleasant than taking a dip in the azure blue pool or relaxing in the 7-person spa ? And above all, you'll enjoy the incredible tranquility of this little corner of paradise.

We had a delightful stay in a beautiful setting, with very friendly, attentive, and helpful hosts. We will gladly return and highly recommend this lovely place, which is close to many interesting places to visit.

We absolutely loved it! A magnificent guesthouse in absolute peace and quiet. The new owners are incredibly attentive, the pool and jacuzzi are perfect for relaxing, and the breakfasts are amazing. We highly recommend it!

Karin and Erik truly deserve 5 stars for their beautiful place. We were surrounded with great care and warmth right from the start. No request was too much. Even for someone with various troublesome food allergies, Karin conjures up all kinds of delicious dishes. Her creativity in the kitchen knows no bounds. We rented the Gîte for a week and were able to enjoy a spotless cottage where everything was at hand and with more than enough space. We slept wonderfully peacefully and could enjoy the sound of birds to wake up to every morning. There was always fresh fruit at breakfast and fresh eggs, a wide selection of all kinds of treats, even gluten- and lactose-free options. On the first evening, too, we had a delicious meal with them and enjoyed the peace and quiet on the terrace. They are incredibly friendly and sociable people who do everything to make their guests feel at ease. We were able to enjoy the spa and the swimming pool all week, and there too, no request for a drink or extra towels was too much. You can store your bicycles there, and for the children, there is a large, beautiful garden with fruit trees to let off steam. Moreover, you are not far from Sarlat at all, while still being able to enjoy peace and quiet. Karin and Erik have completely understood what hospitality means; they do a fantastic job, so we will definitely be back! Highly recommended for anyone who loves peace, coziness, and good food!
