A breathtaking view of the Château des Milandes, former home of Josephine Baker

Just 15 minutes from Sarlat and 5 minutes from the medieval village of Beynac, Les Hauts de Saint-Vincent offers five guest rooms with a swimming pool. Dating back to the 18th century, this former farmhouse has been completely restored using antique materials, furniture, and objects found at flea markets or brought back from travels.

Large common areas open to guests

The house offers large common areas, conducive to conversation - a cozy lounge with a bar area and fireplace, a dining room with coffee from a small producer selected from a local roaster, Maison Layac, a kettle and a choice of teas and herbal teas from Palais des Thés.

A swimming pool with an incredible view of the Dordogne valley and its castles

The heated swimming pool is accessible from mid-April to mid-October depending on the weather - and has a terrace with a very pretty view of the Dordogne and the Château des Milandes, former home of Josephine Baker.

Five comfortable and charming guest rooms

Each room has a private bathroom with a bathtub or walk-in shower, and very comfortable bedding made in France. Each one has its own unique decor, blending 1950s or vintage furniture with antique finds.

A gourmet table d'hôtes with homemade cuisine

The communal dining table, offered two evenings a week, features entirely homemade cuisine prepared by Stéphanie, the hostess, using ingredients sourced from local producers, primarily organic. In the summer, gourmet platters are available two evenings a week, to be enjoyed on the terrace in a convivial atmosphere. Choose from a platter featuring duck, a platter featuring Périgord trout, or a vegetarian platter.

Hot air balloon rides with boarding from the property

In the warmer months, you can, if you wish, take to the skies in one of their hot air balloons, launched directly from the garden of the guesthouse. Depending on the wind, you can fly over the Château de Beynac as far as Castelnaud, or the Marqueyssac Gardens, the Château des Milandes and the Dordogne River, or the valley as far as the small town of Saint-Cyprien -en-Périgord. Weekends focused on truffles and cooking workshops in winter

Between December and February, cooking workshops are offered to guests staying on site as well as to locals outside the area to cook the flavours of Périgord: foie gras, truffles... And in January, truffle stays are organised on weekends with a visit to the truffle market in Sarlat and a visit to the medieval city, truffle hunting in a truffle orchard, a truffle dinner prepared by a local Chef and a special truffle cooking workshop.
