Originally from Libourne (in Gironde), they settled 10 years ago in the Dordogne and renovated (by the strength of their arms and their talent), a sumptuous village house in Montignac. Stayed in the apartments, accompanied all weekend by the couple and taken to the best places to discover the Périgord truffle, the hosts are sure to know everything about the Périgord black diamond! Weekends are “ all inclusive ”, it is a pack including 2 days of activities and one night (Saturday evening) at L'Escapade in Lascaux. On Saturday and Sunday, meetings and highlights are organized:

A friendship aperitif with tasting of toast s with truffled butter (Saturday noon)
A truffle discovery session with a local truffle grower, Jean-Marie Pechmajou. Producer of truffles in Auriac-du-Périgord (5 minutes from Montignac), Jean-Marie is also involved in the preservation, development and research around the truffle. He is President of the Trufficulteurs Réunis, Vice President of the Federation of Trufficulteurs du Périgord and of the office of the Fédération Française des Trufficulteurs. In short, you are in good hands!
A visit to Jean-Marie's truffle, with demonstration of cavage (the search for truffles ), with truffle dog. Possibility to then buy the truffles that have been found !! (Saturday afternoon)
A meal under the sign of the truffle, in a gastronomic and locavore restaurant (100% local and seasonal cuisine) near Montignac, with 6 courses and an aperitif included. (Saturday night)
A visit to a truffle market with comments and advice from experts… (Sunday morning)

Why treat yourself or treat yourself to a weekend with truffles? For amateurs, this is the best way to really immerse yourself in the world of Périgord truffles. True connoisseurs know by observing its dress, its roughness, its furrows… if it is good even before tasting it! Truffles are expensive when you look at their price per kilo, but who needs a kilo of truffle?
