2026: A HISTORIC EDITION FOR A DOUBLE ANNIVERSARY

In 2026, the festival takes on a very special dimension: the celebration of the 45th edition of the festival, but also the 100th anniversary of the Amicale Laïque du Montignacois (the highlight of which will be in October).

To celebrate this century of sharing, the festival has put together a "favorite" program from July 27th to August 2nd :

  • An emotional reunion: the festival has chosen to invite back ensembles that have marked its history, such as Croatia (supported by volunteers during past crises), Chile (a favorite in 2022), or the ballets of Tahiti and Indonesia.
  • An international lineup: discover South Africa, Mexico with its world tour in 20 songs, Italy, Ireland, as well as Breton and Savoyard folklore.
  • Exceptional evenings: in addition to the headline act Mentissa on Wednesday, the week will be punctuated by the Vizara festival (electro) on Monday, a 100th anniversary gala on Saturday and a grand closing fireworks display on Sunday evening.

Festival Cultures aux Coeurs

Festival Cultures aux Cœurs, a true adventure between art and friendship since 1981

For over 40 years, Montignac-Lascaux has welcomed artists from around the world to the heart of this festival, formerly known as the "International Days of Folklore and Friendship," then the "Festival of World Dances and Music," before becoming the "Cultures aux Cœurs Festival." Committed to safeguarding intangible cultural heritage and promoting cultural diversity, it loudly proclaims its message of peace and fraternity, bringing together talented artists each year who are delighted to reunite. More than just a show, the Cultures aux Cœurs Festival is a true feat of unity that tolerates no discrimination, whether racial, ethical, physical, philosophical, or religious. A week filled with encounters, sharing, exchange, culture, and tradition, it promises to be an emotionally charged experience.

Festival Cultures aux Cœurs, an event that transforms Montignac-Lascaux in the summer

This magnificent cultural event, organized by the Amicale Laïque du Montignacois, is also made possible thanks to the 300 volunteers, the teenagers from Festi'Jeunes, as well as the town's businesses and the ever-growing number of partners who participate and give their time to make this event truly memorable each year. There are seven different venues throughout the town hosting events :

  • The Nelson Mandela space, a true living space that also houses the ticket office
  • The Guinguette comes alive at dinnertime, offering a dinner show with a live band. Stay after coffee; it transforms into a bodega for the end of the evening.
  • The Terraces of Friendship, an incredible open-air performance venue where groups put on shows in the evening, dazzling young and old with their talent and the artistic quality of their performance.
  • The Town Hall Square where the groups meet on Wednesday mornings to be welcomed by the mayor.
  • The Salle des Fêtes where hundreds of children gather to create a beautiful show of exchange, and admire the one taking place on stage.
  • The World Market at Place Tourny, a feast of crafts and gourmet treats enlivened by groups of artists all day long.
  • Lascaux 4 at the foot of the hill allows for the representation of groups on the forecourt in front of this magnificent space with modern architecture.

And of course, the streets of Montignac-Lascaux come alive all week to the rhythm of foreign songs and dances with the parade on Sunday morning and the grand finale on Friday evening: "city in celebration".
