The history of Château Lestevenie is woven with the golden threads of destiny, love and chance . Petrie and Jaco, originally from South Africa, made their way to the serene vineyards of southern France, realizing their shared winemaking dream. Their story of boundless love and adventure merged with the expertise of Ramon Stoltz, a viticulture enthusiast from their home country.
Under the Terblanche label, Château Lestevenie combines French winemaking tradition with modernity, creating wines that tell a story of heritage and passion. This harmonious marriage between French terroir and South African Huguenot heritage results in award-winning wines that capture the very essence of Château Lestevenie.
THE ROUTE TO LESTEVENIE CASTLE
Destiny guided Petrie and Jaco from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa to Paris, where love sealed their destiny. Their professional career took them to New York, but it was in France that their wine dream came to life. Becoming the proud owners of Château Lestevenie in February 2022, they have brought new energy to this exceptional vineyard.
Chance also played a crucial role when, searching for an expert in the field, they discovered Ramon Stoltz. A fellow South African, Ramon brings extensive knowledge of the South African wine industry, adding a unique dimension to the Château Lestevenie team.
