    • CAMPING LE PONT DE MAZERAT IN TAMNIÈS, IN THE HEART OF THE BLACK PÉRIGORD

Group accommodation at Camping le Pont de Mazerat in Tamniès, in the heart of the Périgord Noir. Ideal for seminars, weddings, meetings and group stays.

      Accommodation suitable for groups

Camping le Pont de Mazerat, located in Tamniès in the heart of the Périgord Noir, provides facilities suitable for welcoming groups of up to 35 people.

Whether for a seminar, a professional meeting, training, a corporate incentive, a wedding, a birthday or a family reunion, the establishment offers different accommodation options: accommodation only, half-board or full-board.

This organization allows us to meet the varied needs of groups while enjoying a calm and green setting.

Varied accommodation for a group stay

The campsite has spacious mobile homes, comfortable chalets and unusual accommodations such as canvas tents or wooden cabins. These accommodation solutions are suitable for groups looking for a compromise between conviviality and comfort. Each accommodation is equipped with functional bedrooms, a fitted kitchen and an outdoor space allowing you to share collective moments. The whole can accommodate a group of 35 people spread over several units, while preserving the privacy of each person.

      Services to facilitate organization

For group stays in Périgord Noir, Camping le Pont de Mazerat offers practical services: the possibility of booking half-board or full-board meals, the provision of a meeting room that can accommodate around 40 participants, as well as logistical support for the preparation of events. These services allow organizers to focus their attention on their activities, while benefiting from a setting conducive to relaxation and group cohesion.

A favorable environment for seminars and events

The site's layout offers a peaceful environment, away from noise, yet easily accessible from the Dordogne's main roads. The surrounding natural space is a great place to spend free time or relax between work sessions. Participants can enjoy the heated swimming pool, the nearby swimming pond, or even group activities organized on site.

An ideal location in the Périgord Noir

The Tamniès campsite benefits from a central geographical location, making it a strategic starting point for discovering the riches of the Périgord Noir. Groups staying on site can combine their meeting times with cultural or tourist outings less than 30 km away: the medieval city of Sarlat-la-Canéda, the famous Lascaux cave in Montignac, or even Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, capital of prehistory. This diversity of activities allows us to create tailor-made programs, adapted to seminars, private events or association stays.

Discover the Périgord Noir in a group

The surroundings of Camping le Pont de Mazerat offer numerous opportunities for discovery. Hiking enthusiasts can explore trails linking forests, valleys, and hills. The Dordogne and Vézère rivers invite you to canoe or kayak or stroll along their banks. Typical villages such as Saint-Geniès, Montignac, and Domme offer the opportunity to discover local architecture and traditional markets. Groups interested in gastronomy can meet small producers and taste iconic products of the Périgord Noir, such as foie gras, truffles, and walnuts. This local connection enriches group stays, combining work, conviviality, and cultural discovery.

Review of the stay: Disappointing customer service. This campsite falls far short of 4-star standards; a 3-star rating would be more appropriate. We came as a family, booking three adjacent pitches to enjoy the stay together, especially with our young children (aged 1 to 4). Deplorable management of pitches and customers What a surprise to find, upon arrival (a day after the other two members of my family), that my pitch had been given to another family who had raised their voices at reception. This same family complained to the owner about the noise as early as 8:30 a.m. Judging by their brand-new equipment, they clearly didn't seem used to the realities of camping. Instead of calming down their demands, the owner preferred to reprimand us harshly, claiming that "several people" had complained about us. After checking with the neighbors, this turned out to be completely false. According to him, he will no longer accept family groups: quite ironic for a "family" campsite. Regardless of the layout of the pitches, a family always ends up gathering somewhere. Technical Points and Services Sanitary Facilities: Positive Points: Always spotless. A big thank you to the cleaning staff. Hair dryers, mirrors, and disinfectant for the toilets are available (very rare). The children's area with a baby bathtub, raised shower, and mini-toilet is a real plus. Negative Point: The owner hadn't turned on the second water heater despite it being peak season. As a result, there was no hot water after 7:30 pm. The problem was only resolved after a complaint. Food: Positive Point: Excellent value for money. Negative Point: Disorganized service. During the "Périgord Meal" evening scheduled for 7:30 pm, the starter didn't arrive until 9:10 pm. We had to fetch our own water pitchers after two unanswered requests. The Swimming Pool and Activities: Swimming Pool: The pool is suitable for young children, but the lack of a water slide is unacceptable for a 4-star establishment. Activities: The playground is nice (trampolines, bouncy castle, mini-golf). The four pedal cars available are a good idea, although potentially dangerous (a child collided with one during our stay). Setting and Pitches: The pitches are perfect: very large and in a green setting. The pre-equipped pitches are an excellent initiative for first-time campers; it's the first time we've seen this in 20 years of camping. Note to those who are always connected: There is no cell phone coverage, nor is the campsite's Wi-Fi. A word of warning to mobile phone addicts: this isn't the place for you. Conclusion: Despite the pleasant setting, we won't be returning. Poor management and the owner's attitude ruined our experience. Friendly advice: Your comment about the "100% Decathlon" equipment is a bit pointed (even if we understand the frustration with intolerant beginners!). I've kept it because it illustrates your point well, but the main point remains your criticism of the owner's management, which is very clear.
