Life-size at Parc du Thot!

Between Montignac and Les Eyzies, in Thonac to be precise, I'm taking you to the Parc du Thot ! A family outing, raising awareness of prehistoric ways of life, but in a real immersion in nature, since you are surrounded by the animals painted on the walls of the Lascaux Cave !

Animals

Children love animals and who's afraid of the big bad wolf ? Here, they won't have to worry, since the wolves at Parc du Thot are well protected (for their peace and quiet, above all) and you can observe them with curiosity and pleasure!

The stags, does, and roe deer here are in a large park, and you can watch them being fed in the morning. Take the opportunity to listen to the keepers' interesting explanations : do you know the difference between a horn and antlers, and by the way, how does a large stag manage to roam in nature with its impressive and majestic headdress?

There are also Aurochs, these ancient breed of cows, and ibex, goats... Enjoy the picnic tables, the magnificent view over the Vézère Valley, towards Montignac.

Workshops and activities

During school holidays, adults and children can participate in various workshops, from cave art and stone carving to jewelry making... it's fun and you leave with a little souvenir!

All year round, you can visit the small museum and take part in a fantastic 3D experience: an image is projected and you're side-by-side with prehistoric animals like the sand-toothed tiger or the mammoth! Awesome!
