Naturally Périgord Tourist Office - two tourist information offices, in Excideuil and Lanouaille.

A territory of 28 municipalities in the northeast of the department, specializing in outdoor activities!

In an enchanting natural setting, encompassing wild rivers and gorges, forests and limestone plateaus, over 500 km of marked hiking trails delight all hikers, whether on foot, by mountain bike, or on horseback. Locally, you can enjoy whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, gold panning, caving, fishing, wakeboarding, and treetop adventure courses at the Rouffiac leisure center, as well as geocaching with seven Terra Aventura loops...

On the heritage front, you'll journey back in time to the iron industry along the Auvézère River, visiting the Vaux paper mill in Payzac and the Savignac-Lédrier forge. You'll be captivated by the remarkable sanctuary of Clairvivre, a town in the countryside where utopian 1930s architecture stands alongside the farms and fields of the Périgord region – a designated "Land of Art and History" and a 20th-century heritage site. And in Excideuil, a charming small town, you'll encounter the medieval history of Richard the Lionheart and Giraut de Bornelh, one of Dante's greatest troubadours.
