One of the most beautiful perspectives of Périgord
Wherever you come from, you will be amazed. It is one of the most beautiful perspectives of Périgord than that of the Château de Hautefort, camped on its hill, dominating like a patriarch of valleys, streams and walnut groves. You will be seduced by the harmony of the village which is staged around the ramparts of its imposing castle.
The narrow alleys lined with flowered houses, the shaded courtyards, the welcoming squares highlight the small heritage : here a well, there, a “work”, a fountain… witnesses of a rich historical past.
The local farmers market takes place every Hautefort Wednesday morning. Every 1st Monday of each month a traditional fair takes place. In Saint-Agnan, on the church square, every Thursday in July and August, there is a night market: the atmosphere is warm and festive. It is possible to eat on site with musical entertainment.
