The Club's Mission

The Périgueux Canoë-Kayak association is dedicated to organizing and promoting the practice of canoeing and kayaking in all its forms in Périgueux, in the heart of the Périgord Blanc. From discovering the pleasures of navigation in calm waters to high-level competitions, the club offers a variety of activities ranging from slalom to river descent and line racing. Through a qualified technical team, the club also encourages the exploration of other complementary sports disciplines, thus helping to enrich the experience of practitioners.

History of the Club

Founded in 1958 under the name Groupe Nautique du Périgord (GNP) by Adolpe Tesnière, the club quickly proved itself on the national and international scene.

In 1985 , following the merger with the Association Loisirs Périgord (ALP), the club became the ALP GNP, thus expanding the range of activities. Since then, its commitment to canoeing and kayaking has continued to grow, demonstrating its unwavering attachment to this sport and to the Périgord.

Evolution and Dynamism

Over the decades, the club has evolved and adapted to new trends in the discipline. In 2010, it took a decisive turn by moving towards two new disciplines: river descent and scull racing. This transition has allowed it to consolidate its position among the most successful clubs in France, with remarkable results both nationally and internationally.
