Café Couleur, a coffee shop with healthy and responsibly sourced products!

Open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, Café Couleur welcomes you for a light snack, a gourmet break, a work meeting in a cozy setting, or a meal to eat in or take away!

Café Couleur lives up to its name... the name of the new coffee shop located in the business district of Périgueux, just behind the train station. It offers an ethical approach, with a thoughtful and inventive take on contemporary dining : local products, second-hand decorative objects in a setting that blends industrial style with wood and reclaimed materials.

Everything is homemade, fresh produce is prepared on site, and the welcome is warm and friendly!

Daily specials, salads, original sandwiches, pastries and gourmet drinks are on the menu of this small independent cafe.

Ethical values

Committed to their values and the choice of people they work with, they have chosen to partner with as many small producers from the Périgord region as possible. Their commitment also extends to a broader level: "We believe that it is also up to us, as restaurateurs, to act and participate, on our scale, in the changes affecting our planet."

Local products

Whether it's trout from the Boissonnie mill in Douzillac, or from the Clairière farm in Cornille, seasonal vegetables from local producers, or characterful bread from the Truchassout bakery located in Coulounieix-Chamiers, managers Nils and Elinor are committed to offering varied and appetizing plates and sandwiches every day thanks to the fifteen or so producers they work with.

As for the cheesecakes, cookies, carrot cakes, brookies and other treats (it is possible to order superb birthday or party cakes!), they are simply delicious and homemade, of course!
The menu is also full of tempting options: Café Latte, Cappuccino, Chemex, Milkshake, Smoothies, and many other specialties to discover!

The coffee is also intended to be exceptional, it is only organic or sustainably sourced specialty coffee from the Layac house in Vitrac in Dordogne.

Regarding tea, Elinor and Nils also chose three small family farms, one of which, Monteaco, is located in northern Thailand, a three-hour walk from any road. Their sustainable and ethical farming practices convinced them to work together, thereby supporting small producers.

A coffee shop with artistic projects

It was also through art that the desire to partner with local artists manifested itself. At the back of Café Couleur, a large wall space offers painters, photographers, illustrators, and other artists the opportunity to present their work.
