What a pleasure to glide on the Dordogne, a calm and safe river accessible to children from 5 years old. Available for rental, the canoes allow 2, 3 or 4 people to navigate, while the kayaks are designed for individuals or couples. Once you have your life jackets on, grab your paddles and head to the Canoë Pirate base for a soothing boat trip on the Dordogne. The routes are varied to allow everyone to organize their day according to their desires and energy, with long routes from 2 to 25 km. Itineraries of 2 to 7 days are also available for the more athletic who can get active on 130 km of river, admiring the fauna and flora that evolve in total freedom. Keep your eyes open to see herons or kingfishers !

After a few paddle strokes, the Valley of the Castles appears, revealing magnificent villages perched between Beynac, Domme or Castelnaud, while the castles strut from the top of their rocky promontories. Take the time to pause to appreciate the beauty of the landscapes that are revealed as you progress. Once the descent is finished, a mini-bus takes you back to the base to return the equipment used. Don't forget to bring towels, sunscreen and swimsuits to enjoy the beach of Vézac after the canoe trip. Isolated and green, it allows you to swim and rest facing the river which flows gently, revealing a few barges from time to time. The picnic is also a good idea for an outdoor lunch on a suitable space shaded by willows and poplars. On site, a snack bar also offers gourmet, homemade meals with a variety of recipes to enjoy without having to cook.
