The castles of the Dordogne Valley await you, to admire them from the most beautiful viewpoint : from the Espérance River. Come and rent a canoe or kayak in the beautiful village of La Roque-Gageac and set off for a trip on the Dordogne, ranging from 2 to 25 km of descent, depending on your chosen route.

Canoë Dordogne is located in the village of La Roque Gageac. You will be equipped with a life jacket and a waterproof container for your belongings, then off you go! Some departures are free from the base and you go down the river on a defined route or to the place of your choice. 4 other routes are available:

• La Roque Gageac – Les Milandes: 9km with return by bus
• Vitrac – Les Milandes: 16km with departure and return by bus
• Carsac – La Roque Gageac: 16 km with bus departure
• Carsac – Les Milandes: 25km with departure and return by bus

The routes are very comprehensive, you discover the Valley of the Castles, but also the fauna and flora, the landscapes, the wild nature of the Dordogne Valley. Cliffs, the Cingle de Monfort, the bastides in the distance, the gardens and hilltop villages (Beynac, Domme, Castelnaud, etc.). The descents are made along the water, the Dordogne is a beautiful stable river and the navigation conditions

are good. Explanations will be given to you before departure, on the route, navigation techniques, and places to stop. Numerous beaches and rest areas for a picnic or a break mark the routes. The boats can accommodate:

• Canoe: 2 to 4 people
• Kayak: 1 to 2 people

Good to know: Multi-day trips (2 to 7 days of roaming) can be offered on the river, which offers 130 km of navigable waterways, for 24 euros per day. You can then respectfully camp along the route or find campsites or lodges; the Canoë Dordogne team will be there to advise you.

Everything is included in the rental price: the boat, life jacket, container, insurance and transport.
