    • NICOLAS GUITTET, like two of his brothers, was attracted to working with glass at a very young age. He began with a torch training, provided by his brother Dominique and then began in the Parisian workshop of Joël FRESSARD.

Then, for 8 years, he worked in Rocamadour. In the 1980s, he created VERRERIE DE CORDES-SUR-CIEL, which he sold in 2005. In 2007, with his companion Guillemette Rivaux, he built his studio in the Périgord Noir, in "Puyvendran" (24260 Savignac-de-Miremont).

It is in Limeuil (24510) on the road to Trémolat, 150m from the port, that he has set up his new workshop: L'Atelier du Verre Soufflé.

Passionate about his profession and in particular cane- blown glass, Nicolas has been trained throughout his career. It was with Eric LAURENT that he acquired his initial knowledge. His unique works are made entirely by himself. He also uses several techniques: size, sandblasting, casting, fusing...

A local artist shop that produces fine glass art. No photos of the art products allowed but you can watch the use of all the tools very good.

Shop full of magic ✨ Glassblowing is an honorable profession that is being lost... But seeing all these creations and the passion of the managers brings balm to the heart 🥰 The prices are very reasonable if we take into account that it is artisanal work and that the couples are self-employed. Good luck to them 🙏🏻

My sons and I went to this workshop yesterday. We were greeted by the craftswoman who was spinning glass. Full glass. She let us admire all these wonderful objects of art in the shop and then was very available and lovely to answer our questions. Her husband, the blower, is absent because he is unwell (so many years of a job as grueling as it is beautiful, it damages the body). This nice lady spoke at length with us, and found simple words to explain a very advanced technique to us. I am very saddened that people with bad intentions give bad ratings because they were not allowed to take photos. Photos are prohibited in this workshop and this is normal. It’s their art, their way of making a living. These are unique pieces. Idea theft is so common these days. All my support to this couple of artisans who sometimes have to deal with such incomprehensive and indelicate people.
