The Landais Forest is located between Bergerac and Mussidan. Originally, it was a plantation of pines, used for tapping , that is to say, the harvesting of the resin produced by the trees, during healing. After this practice was abandoned, the forest took on a more natural face. During your walks, you will cross small valleys, formed by the rivers La Lidoire and L'Eyraud , as well as the many streams which flow from them. The paths and roads that crisscross it will lead you to the Belair Ponds and there are also hiking loops on forest trails. It is an ornithological observation site especially for raptors , with some rare and protected species.
