Château de Clauzuroux, gîtes and guest rooms in a residence listed in the inventory of Historic Monuments
The magnificent Château de Clauzuroux dates from the 17th century. Its architecture is French style, it unfolds in H, with a dwelling between two elegant 3-storey pavilions. Go through its 18th century gate, then take the paths bordered by a very beautiful park and a French garden whose layout dates from 1776, with a water staircase and fountains.
The overall architecture of the castle consists of the dwelling as well as outbuildings, a mill, a reach (basin) on the Pude stream with a small bridge, outbuildings and a circular dovecote. The Château de Clauzuroux has been a family home since 1920, it is a very beautiful bucolic environment to come and spend a quiet holiday, well located to explore this region of Périgord Vert, so generous in nature, pretty villages and heritage. The Château is a private residence, but it is possible to visit it during the summer season and during Heritage Days and celebrations such as “Château en Fête”, on a free visit.
The Château offers 5 guest rooms located in the main building and the dwelling, with a view of the courtyard or the garden. It is also possible to stay in one of the 2 gîtes, which have a capacity of 11 and 15 people, each with a garden and a private swimming pool, a shared tennis court and the park of the French castle.
