Saint-Cyprien was born around an abbey of regular canons of Saint-Augustin which would have been built on the tomb of a hermit called Cyprian.
The barbarian invasions forced the monks to surround themselves with ramparts of which the bell tower-dungeon remains a vestige.
The village, located near the Dordogne, did not want to see the bridge that linked it to the other bank of the river disappear (...)
