Our Camping La Catie is located in Tamniès, a small village in the countryside, in the heart of the Périgord Noir, 15 km between the Dordogne valley with Sarlat and the Vézère valley with Montignac-Lascaux and Les Eyzies.
It was created on the family farm property in the early 1980s by Lili and Yves, initially a farm campsite with 6 pitches then classified 1* in the Prefecture in 2001 with 25 pitches.
It was in 2010 that Philippe, the son, himself a farmer, took over the torch and discovered this new human adventure which he enjoyed. He installed a few mobile homes and renovated the sanitary facilities to request, in 2012, the new 1* reclassification.
The swimming pool and the small pool arrived in 2014 and the terraces around the mobile homes were installed in 2016.
All this work was rewarded with a second star in 2017!
And new challenge for the following years, 2020, 2021... renewal of the mobile homes.
