- Formerly the house of the smuggler, port of Gabariers and ferries on the Dordogne, the Port of Limeuil Campsite is today one of the most beautiful holiday resorts in the Dordogne with its superb beach, the Dordogne-Vézère confluence and the breathtaking view of the village of Limeuil.
  
  Located by the river, the campsite also has an aquatic area (heated swimming pools), several sports grounds (tennis, beach volleyball, football...), a grocery store, a bar-pub and an on-site and take-out restaurant. The campsite has free pitches, motorhome pitches, equipped tents and mobile homes for hire.
  
  On the campsite beach, you can enjoy a picnic with your feet in the water, swimming in the Dordogne, fishing or even a canoe trip : Aquafun invites you to practice canoeing, simple kayaking or double, with friends or family, on the Dordogne and the Vézère.
  
  The central position of the "Le Port de Limeuil" campsite, between Sarlat, Bergerac and Périgueux, allows you to visit the many sites of the 2 valleys... Bastides, caves, chasms, typical villages, gardens, castles...

Conclusion: Medium-sized, quiet campsite with a good location for excursions into the Périgord. Location: Located directly on the Dordogne River with a view of the picturesque village of Limeuil. Pitches: Spacious grassy plots with shade, mostly clearly demarcated by hedges. Amenities: Two on-site. Not the newest, but clean. Reception & Shop: The supermarket is well-stocked for its size and sells fresh bread and pastries in the morning.

The campsite is beautiful and is beautifully situated. The sanitary facilities are beautiful and neat but are absolutely not kept clean. The toilets stink and are just filthy. We stayed there for 5 days and not once were the toilets cleaned properly. The toilet building and are covered in cobwebs. The showers have poor running water which is also not constant in temperature. The staff is unfriendly. The entire campsite was without electricity for a night. The staff acted as if they knew nothing and were extremely unfriendly if you said anything about it. We will not be coming back here

Great place - would love to come back 👍 - Large pitches - Rental car on site - Pitches "right" on the water for campervans on a large meadow - Excellent and plentiful sanitary facilities - Washing machines/dryers on site - Direct access to the rivers - Very friendly, helpful, and multilingual staff/operators - Nice pool - Baguette/croissant service without prior reservation - Small shop - Hiking routes are available - A board points to markets in the area - Everyone was warned about the big storm/storm that night. A big cleanup the next morning. Minus point for the "restaurant," which unfortunately only serves fast food. Location within walking distance and across from Lemeuil 🥰.
