This modern building , opened in 2019, faces the quais de la Salvette , rue des Récollets . Tourism, culture and wine in one place

The Quai Cyrano was born from the desire to share the attractions of Périgord in Bergerac , in one and the same place . Its vocation is plural: to inform visitors , through the Tourist Office which is located on the ground floor and to offer a space for discovery , understanding and tasting of Bergerac-Durac wines , in a friendly and generosity (on the ^1st floor). Successful bet !

We oscillate between two atmospheres : Modern and traditional , since the building with its very contemporary feel , also hides within it the Cloister of the Récollets , a magnificent 17th century ensemble .

A modern and interactive Tourist Office

No more long waits to chat with an advisor, at the Bergerac Tourist Office , visitors are offered the possibility of browsing on 4 interactive terminals connected to the database of all the good addresses , events and useful heritage information . A giant graphic tablet- type terminal allows you to appreciate in large format and very easily , the key routes to know in the region, the wine estates to visit, the tourist sites ... In short, everything you need to explore the Périgord Pourpre at 100%. You can even send you directions and information by email to your email address! 3 other screens are installed above the reception and give you information on current events, promotions and seasonal information .

If you prefer to chat face- to-face, travel advisers are available to help you plan your vacation , give you good advice and unmissable addresses according to your needs. Do you like brochures ? Large displays are installed at the back of the Tourist Office, for fans of flyers!

Several gift and souvenir poles will appeal to the whole family: there are objects in the colors of the city, textiles , screen-printed gifts (you will love the glasses , they are very pleasant to use and perfect to go with the good wines that you will report!)

Bergerac Duras wine house

On the ^1st floor, it's the Maison des Vins , a space for presenting the work of the winegrowers of the Bergerac-Durac vineyard . This is their space! It is managed by a team of fine connoisseurs, who will advise you, but also during the summer of a hundred winegrowers , who take turns every day to come and present their wines. Here, there are more than 150 wine references , one bottle for each wine-growing castle , to make you want to go and see more! Because the Maison des Vins is the starting point for your visits to the vineyards a short drive from the city center. Here, you can discover the properties and find out their addresses and events: many are doing guided tours , wine tourism is booming in the Périgord Pourpre !

Climb to the ^1st floor, don't be shy!

At the wine bar (open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in season and during the opening hours of the Tourist Office out of season), a selection of 15 wines to be tasted (which change every week, local advice!). You can taste a wine (free tasting) , then order it by the glass or order another to enjoy with a delicious gourmet plate : charcuterie , foie-gras , rillette , cheese (local, like the fantastic Trappe d'Echourgnac )!) or dried duck , all prepared just for you. To settle in, you have 3 spaces at your disposal :

• A magnificent panoramic terrace , which faces the Dordogne , you overlook the river and you admire the Gabarres de Bergerac which crisscross the waves;
• A terrace within the Cloître des Récollets from the 17th century. On a high table under the original passageways or in the center of the courtyard with its elegant and venerable century-old Catalpa tree;
• The wine showroom is furnished with comfortable sofas and tables, you can sit there!

The Maison des vins is booming. Over the years, new activities and interactions will be created, such as a new scenographic space on the floor of the Cloister and a museographic space below, in a vaulted cellar. What will not change is the investment of the winegrowers to produce exceptional wines , which are truly worth discovering. That's what Quai Cyrano is all about, passing on this knowledge to you and making you taste all the know-how and flavors of the Bergerac Duras vineyard !
