    • TIREGAND CASTLE IN CREYSSE: TOURS, TASTINGS AND DISCOVERING PÉCHARMANT WINE IN THE PURPLE PÉRIGORD

Discover Château de Tiregand in Creysse, a historic Pécharmant estate near Bergerac. Guided tours of the cellars, wine tastings, gourmet pairings, and the discovery of an exceptional vineyard in the Dordogne.

A historic wine estate in the heart of Pécharmant

Located in Creysse, just a few minutes from Bergerac, Château de Tiregand is one of the emblematic wine estates of the Périgord Pourpre region. This family-run estate, situated in the heart of the Pécharmant appellation, covers nearly 40 hectares of vines cultivated on hillsides renowned for the quality of their terroir.

The estate is dominated by a 17th-century castle listed as a Historic Monument. Its history dates back more than eight centuries, offering visitors a remarkable heritage associated with a genuine culture of vines and wine.

The vineyard plots rest on soils composed of sands, gravels and a ferruginous subsoil characteristic of Pécharmant, allowing the production of wines renowned for their structure, elegance and aging potential.

Guided tours to discover the secrets of Pécharmant

Château de Tiregand welcomes visitors throughout the year for guided tours and wine tastings. These events offer a behind-the-scenes look at winemaking, the workings of the cellars, and the history of this family estate.

Throughout the visit, participants are invited to gain a deeper understanding of the specific characteristics of the Pécharmant terroir, the work in the vineyards, the winemaking methods, and the estate's environmental commitments. The property holds High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, which attests to its farming practices that respect biodiversity and natural resources.

This immersion in the world of wine is an experience accessible to both enthusiasts and visitors wishing to discover the wine heritage of the Dordogne.

The Selection Tour: a first introduction to the estate's wines

The Selection Visit and Tasting package offers a complete discovery of the estate through a guided tour of approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.

This experience includes a tasting of three wines representative of the estate:

      • 1 dry white Bergerac
      • 2 Sinners

This formula allows one to grasp the characteristics of the wines of the estate and to better understand the identity of the appellation.

Visitors can complement the tasting with a bread and cheese pairing or a gourmet pairing with Hervé Robin 's artisanal chocolates, in order to explore different flavor combinations.

The Privilege Tour: an in-depth exploration of the Château's wines

For enthusiasts wishing to go further, the Privilege Visit and Tasting package offers a more complete immersion in the world of the Château de Tiregand.

After the guided tour of the facilities, the tasting covers the entire range with five wines:

      • 3 Sinners
      • 1 dry white Bergerac
      • 1 Rosette

This formula allows you to discover the estate's top-of-the-range wines, including the renowned Grand Millésime, as well as the Rosette, an emblematic sweet wine from the Bergerac region.

As with the Selection formula, it is possible to add a bread and cheese pairing or a Hervé Robin chocolate pairing to enrich the tasting experience.

Visits are free for children up to 12 years old.

These distinctions highlight the consistent quality of the estate and the recognition its wines enjoy among industry professionals.

A vineyard committed to preserving its environment

The estate's vines are cultivated with particular attention to the environment. The plots benefit from a preserved natural setting, surrounded by forest areas recognized for their ecological value.

The deliberately low yield and high planting density promote a better expression of the terroir and a consistent quality of the grapes.

This approach is part of a desire to sustainably enhance the wine-growing heritage of the Périgord Pourpre region while preserving the natural resources that surround it.

We received a very warm welcome. We arrived late, but Côme still opened the doors for us and offered a tasting. We left with some bottles; it's a very good wine, and we'll gladly return. Thank you again for this wonderful discovery.

We arrived after 6:00 PM and the shop was closed. But the person on the property kindly opened the doors for us and took the time to explain everything. We were also able to taste the different wines. Thank you for the warm welcome! 🙏 We were able to buy red and white wine. We will definitely be back, and what wine! 😀 Congratulations on your hard work, and we can't wait to try your hand-harvested wine! ❤️

Wonderful visit! Learning about the history of the Chateau and the wines was a great experience and of course the tasting ! Having learned about them via the Martin Walker books of Bruno chief of police, we were delighted to taste the same of his stories and truly enjoyed them as much as Bruno does! A spot not to miss among the many in this region.
