Domaine du Grand Jaure, a family vineyard in Purple Périgord

Located on the generously sunny slopes of Lembras, the Domaine du Grand Jaure has been a family wine estate since 1920. Bertrand and Bernadette Baudry welcome you to discover their Pécharmant, produced and blended on site since 1965. 3rd generation of winegrowers, they work 18 ha of vines and also produce Rosette as well as dry Bergerac (white).

Pécharmant is the oldest vineyard in the Bergerac region, its origins dating back to the Middle Ages in the 12th century. Its geology is directly involved in its velvety, supple and full-bodied character. We find this typical minerality from the "sands and gravels of Périgord" in the purple color of this elegant wine. It is appreciated with red meats or game, it is perfect with cheese, it is a good wine for laying down which fully expresses itself around 6 or 7 years of maturity.

The Rosette from Domaine du Grand Jaure is elegant, with fine and subtle notes of citrus … It is a wine that pleases from aperitif to dessert, it is convivial, it adapts to many palates and delights lovers of sweet wines who appreciate its light and fresh side. Perfect with melon in summer, a fruit salad but also foie gras…

Bertrand and Bernadette cultivate their land with respect, come and meet them during a visit and tasting at the property. The estate is open every day, Sundays by prior telephone reservation.
