- EXOTISM IN THE HEART OF VAL DE DRONNE
  Located in the small medieval village of Bourdeilles, a few kilometers from Brantôme, the Nommad's bistro offers world cuisine that intrigues and awakens the taste buds.
  
  The spices sing: cumin, turmeric, curry, pepper, chilli, ginger; the herbs embellish: basil, coriander, rosemary.
  
  On the menu, a lovely world tour with specialties from South America such as ceviche, from Thailand with tiger tears, from Vietnam with Bo Bun. A detour to India with tikka massala, Japan with tonkatsu.
  
  Le Nommad's does not forget the terroir, however, by choosing local products to which it brings a touch of exoticism, such as crispy duck with Asian flavors or foie gras with seaweed.
  THE AMBITION OF DIVERSITY
  Nommad's is also a place for exchanges and meetings. It is the desire to develop a mix between cooking and art.
  
  The interior of the restaurant is designed like a small art gallery where the works of the owner, a passionate watercolourist, are exhibited. Looks, portraits, elsewhere, we travel as much by taste as by eyes

  Enjoy a moment in peace, in the green, at the foot of the Church under the lime trees and refresh yourself with an infusion or homemade tea, discover or rediscover the local wines and of course let yourself be guided to discover other beverages !

Surprise! I was afraid I had booked into a classic tourist trap restaurant in this tourist filled village just behind the castle and church. Instead what a surprise! Impeccable outdoor service. They set up an "umbrella" for us to stay comfortable and cool in the shade. Surprisingly "fusion" cuisine of the good Colombian chef, if we understood correctly. Dishes and wines that are remembered, Waiting for the right amount of time between one course and another. I confess that the spectacular sunset has added an extra note of magic. If you are in the area: don't miss it!

We arrived at the Hotel Les Griffons mid afternoon. The manager told us that their restaurant was closed that evening but she would try and get us in to the Nommad - Bistro A Bourdeilles. When she got through later she told us that although the restaurant was full for the evening they had managed to find us a table for two, which was perfect. It was a lovely evening and the sunset left a beautiful glow on the adjacent building which made for a perfect setting for our meal. The waiter was extremely polite and helpful in our food choices. The food was served promptly after we had had an aperitif. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Nommad’s - Bistro A Bourdeilles.

We happened to be there on Thursday evening which is a day they have live music and bbq menu. It was a great atmosphere with simple grilled food and local wine - perfect evening.
