Located 10km from Sarlat, Beynac-et-Cazenac is easily spotted by its imposing castle. The latter was once the scene of several bitter wars between the Lords of the fortress (allied to the King of France) and the Lords of the Castle of Castelnaud (allied to the King of England, the Plantagenets).
