    • You say to yourself : "Another cave with stalagmites and stalactites ?" Certainly, you will see. But that is not why Maxange has been recognized as unique in the world. Do you know the eccentrics ? These are limestone formations that go in every possible and unimaginable direction. Visible in only a few caves in the world and in small quantities, it is by the thousands that you will discover them in Maxange. 30 minutes from Sarlat, do not miss this masterpiece of nature in this cave discovered less than 20 years ago. An experienced guide will take you into the mysteries of this unique site, easy to access, classified as a national heritage, 2 stars in the Michelin Guide.

A wonderful cave to visit. The guide was interesting and we heard him well. The rate of visits every 20 perfect minestrone since we do not see the other groups unlike Lascaux where there is a departure every 5 minutes. Pleasant welcome, picnic allowed, practical price by the very correct snack. I recommend.

The visit to this cave was fascinating! All these concretions, these eccentrics that lined the ceiling... A feast for the eyes! Allow about an hour to visit, it seems short but it's worth the detour. Photos are allowed I was delighted. Nice souvenir shop perfect for small gifts to offer.

Very well worth a visit, tour in French but guide spoke good English and with written handout all was good. The way the cave is lit adds to appeal.

Lovely cave where we took our somewhat reluctant 7 and 11 year old boys. They loved it with spectacular stalactites and unusually shaped formations in vast quantities. Well worth the time to visit

I really enjoyed visiting this cave, unlike the other caves in this region that are famous for man made art, this cave is art my mother nature. There are the more traditional stalactites and...
