The territory which has been occupied since Gallo-Roman times, in the Middle Ages became a noble hideout under the protection of the Châtellenie de Limeuil. Audrix is a popular stopover because of its proximity to the Proumeyssac chasm and the many activities that can be practiced in and around the pretty village. Good to know: 3 hiking trails, the classical music festival "Music in Périgord" (1st week of August), swimming in the pool throughout the summer, the Market of Country Producers "Les Tablées Nocturnes d'Audrix" which is the very friendly meeting on Saturday evening in July and August

      WHAT TO SEE

      - Saint-Pierre church
Atypical fortified Romanesque church. It is registered in the additional inventory of Historical Monuments on December 27, 1973. You should know that it was the villagers themselves who, during the Hundred Years War, reinforced the building so that it served them shelter. Atypical because of its facade which is in one piece from bottom to top. It is just pierced with a door and an oculus. It is a bell tower without any bay window. Which is rare in the region.

      - The old bread oven
Preserved on the main village square, this old bread oven bears witness to daily life in the last century. It was and recently restored in order to enhance the vernacular heritage. The oven cooks even better during the "Tablées Nocturnes d'Audrix".

      - The commemorative unit
After the First World War, Audrix commissioned a monument in memory of the villagers who died at the front. The monument is placed on a base on two levels. It has the shape of a menhir in red marble, decorated with golden inscriptions.
