Les Magnolias Romantic cottage with swimming pool on the banks of the Dordogne

We welcome you to " Les Magnolias ", located in the bastide town of Lalinde, founded in 1267 by Henry III Plantagenet. Les Magnolias is a 2.5-hectare property on the banks of the Dordogne River.

Our estate is located on the edge of the bastide town of Lalinde, in an authentic region where time seems to have stood still.

When you pass through the large gate, you find yourself in our enclosed park with its magnolias, cedars, linden trees, and oaks. Here you'll find plenty of tables and chairs in the shade or in full sun. After checking in at our reception, you can park your car in our private parking lot. The swimming pool (17 x 7 m) is filled with water from our own spring. It offers a beautiful view of the river and has spacious terraces ; it is surrounded by palm and olive trees. It's an oasis of tranquility.

Our magnificent and romantic 18th-century manor house has recently been fully renovated into a luxury bed and breakfast. The manor house has retained its authentic features such as marble fireplaces, paneled doors, original flooring, and classical ceilings. Now operating as a bed and breakfast, it will be perfect for a romantic getaway.

On the ground floor is our 6th apartment (Rosette). This romantic cottage is situated on the river side and has a private entrance. The cottage consists of a spacious living room, a kitchen, and a large bedroom, decorated in a style suitable for two people.

200 meters from Les Magnolias, you will find a large supermarket where you can get all your daily needs, including your French newspaper.

Par Les Magnolias is less than a 10-minute walk from the main square of the bastide town of Lalinde. In Lalinde, you'll find everything you need, the people are friendly and welcoming, and there are often activities organized. You'll find a tourist office, a shopping street in the old town center, supermarkets, restaurants, a post office, bike rentals (400 m), cafes, outdoor seating areas, delicatessens, wine shops, and of course, the farmers' market every Thursday and Saturday morning.
In less than 20 minutes by car, you will find all kinds of restaurants, from the 15 euro set menu to Michelin-starred restaurants.

Les Magnolias is located in the heart of the Dordogne Valley 's prime tourist area, making it the ideal base for exploring the region. It's up to you how you 'll enjoy yourself, whether by taking advantage of the open spaces, the history, and relaxation, or by participating in a variety of sporting activities. Les Magnolias is also ideally situated for outings with children. All the major attractions are within an hour's drive.

Our establishment is easily accessible for our (international) guests ; we are only 23 kilometers from Bergerac-Romanière Airport. We are also easily accessible by train. Lalinde has its own train station on the main road between Bordeaux and Sarlat.

Relax on one of the sunny terraces, have breakfast there, enjoy a magnificent view of the Dordogne, take walks along the river with its swans and willows, take a dip in the refreshing pool, listen to the frogs and cicadas, play boules under old trees …
