  My family and I had a wonderful stay with Natalie and Eric for three nights. We could have easily spent a week and still not see everything around the area. The guesthouse location is peaceful and quiet but you'll need to car to get around obviously. Google maps tried to route us through the back dirt trail into the property so look for unmarked roads and reroute to main roads. Breakfast was wonderful with hot coffee/tea, pastries, jam, fruit, cold meat, cheeses, and dessert. Most homemade by Natalie. Eric is good at keeping the WiFi up in the rooms even though one should really unplug and enjoy the beauty of the place. Natalie is full of ideas on what to see and where to eat in the area so you may not even need to plan ahead. Just an absolutely lovely stay and would recommend to all...

  The property is absolutely charming. Regarding location, it was a great place to use it as a base when travelling around Périgord. Sarlat-la-Caneda is 10 minutes away by car and it is one of the most beautiful little cities we have ever visit. Our suite was great, decorated with style, comfortable, very spacious, spotlessly clean and we had absolutely all we needed. The bathroom is very big, clean and nice decorated. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Nathalie and Eric are a treasure - welcoming, friendly, warm, competent and dedicated to their guests. Unfortunately, during our staying, my husband had a medical emergency and they helped us like we were family (Eric called 112, then he took us to the hospital and helped us with registration, while Nathalie took care of my 10 years old son all day long, pampering and entertaining him and serving him delicious pastas). We could never thank them enough.... We are travelling a lot and all i can say is that 5 stars is not enough to rate this property and their great owners. We would like to return here and we will definitely recommend it to others. Thank you again, Eric and Nathalie! Hope to see you (and your adorable Cookie😊) soon!

  We enjoyed our stay of three nights in October '19 at Aux Bories De Marquay. Its location in the countryside near Sarlat made it the perfect choice for our visit to Sarlat and the many places of interest in the area, including Chateau de Beynac, Musee National de Prehistorie, Lascaux, Rocamadour, and even Gouffre de Padirac. Aux Bories was a delight. The French owners were thoughtful and congenial and had information available and personal suggestions, when asked, for local activities and restaurants. The guest area was separate and private, the grounds were attractive, and the rooms were spacious, clean quiet, and tastefully decorated. It made for a lovely, memorable visit to the area. My Rating: I would differently stay again.
