Prieuré Saint Michel Nature and swimming pool at the top of the Périgord

Welcome to Saint Michel!

Built from the year 1023, the former Saint Michel priory sits atop Mont Saint-Michel, at an altitude of 292 meters. 360° panoramic view with the Massif Central on the horizon!

Surrounded by woods and meadows, this agri-tourism site is gradually returning to its agricultural vocation (livestock, poultry, vegetable garden and orchard). The forests are teeming with deer, stags and wild boars. Not a modern building in sight! Open all year round, the priory has five rooms for 2 people. The garden is freely accessible. Free Wi-Fi. Very good mobile network.

The swimming pool (10 x 5 m) was tiled in 2020. It is surrounded by a fence. The simply furnished bedrooms have all been renovated and are located upstairs.

The bathrooms are large and equipped with a shower and a sink. The toilets are separate (three on the floor). The five bedrooms are separated by two living rooms.
These are two living spaces for gatherings and eating on the go. A refrigerator and microwave are available for tourists.

In total, the site can accommodate at least 12 people. Groups can be accommodated.
Catering available on request (all dishes are prepared using produce from the garden and farmyard).

By practicing moderate prices (from 62 € per night, breakfast included), we want to make this priory accessible to a wide public, as eclectic as possible!

High season rates :

On the breakfast menu : yogurt, jams, compotes, madeleines, shortbread, homemade pancakes.
Meals: Reservation required: €23 + drinks. All dishes are prepared using produce from the garden and farmyard.

Additional single bed: €35/night (€40 in season)

When planning your trip, cycling enthusiasts can rent electric mountain bikes or mountain bikes before they leave by contacting FEELOU T in Excideuil ( www.feelout.fr). The cycle shop rents, repairs and maintains bicycles. Pablot, a state-certified MCF instructor, also organizes guided bicycle tours to discover the Périgord.
