Café Couleur, a coffee shop with healthy and sustainable products!

Open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Café Couleur welcomes you for a snack, a gourmet break, a work meeting in a cozy setting, or even a meal to eat in or take away!

Café Couleur lives up to its name... that of the new coffee shop located in the business district of Périgueux, just behind the train station. It offers an ethical way of operating, in a reasoned and inventive approach to contemporary dining : local products, second-hand decorative objects in a decor mixing industrial with wood and reclaimed materials.

Everything is homemade, the fresh produce is prepared on site and the welcome is warm and friendly!

Daily specials, salads, original sandwiches, pastries and gourmet drinks are on the menu at this small independent café.

Ethical values

Committed to their values and the choice of people they work with, they have chosen to partner with as many small Périgord producers as possible. Their commitment is also on a more global level: "We believe that it is also up to us, as restaurateurs, to act and participate, on our scale, in the changes to our planet."

Local products

Whether it's trout from the Moulin de la Boissonnie in Douzillac, or from the Ferme de la Clairière in Cornille, seasonal vegetables from local producers, or characterful bread from the Truchassout bakery located in Coulounieix-Chamiers, managers Nils and Elinor are committed to offering varied and appetizing plates and sandwiches every day thanks to the fifteen or so producers with whom they work.

As for the cheesecakes, cookies, carrot cakes, brookies and other treats (you can order superb birthday or celebration cakes!), they are simply delicious and homemade of course!
The menu is also full of tempting offerings: Café Latte, Cappuccino, Chemex, Milkshake, Smoothies, and many other specialties to discover!

The coffee is also exceptional, it is only organic or sustainable specialty coffee from Layac in Vitrac in the Dordogne.

Regarding tea, Elinor and Nils have also chosen 3 small family farms, one of which, Monteaco, is located in the north of Thailand, a three-hour walk from any road. Their sustainable and ethical cultivation convinced them to work together, thereby enabling small producers to make a living.

It was also through art that the desire to partner with local artists was expressed. At the back of Café Couleur, a vast wall space offers painters, photographers, and illustrators the opportunity to showcase their works.
