    The welcome from a gentleman was particularly unpleasant. We had taken the precaution of reserving a table, and upon arrival, we were told that it was ultimately impossible to serve us, even though the restaurant was half empty. When we asked for an explanation and offered to wait, we were met with a dismissive response that there weren't enough "hands" to serve us. Ironically, within 20 minutes, half the restaurant had apparently filled up… in a tiny, isolated village in the Dordogne. For the service alone, I advise you to avoid this place.

    Great French hotel. Let's hope it stays open a while. Lovely simple breakfast. Nice staff. Historic town linked to Richard the Lionheart nearby
