Rouffignac is a dynamic village, positioned high, which gives it great interest in spring and autumn, it is always above the fog!

Rouffignac is well placed for daily wanderings to Périgueux and white Périgord, it is also in the heart of black Périgord, a few kilometers from Plazac, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère and the Vézère valley, its prehistoric sites, Montignac ( and the Lascaux cave) and Les Eyzies a few dozen minutes away.

But Rouffignac also defends its heritage! Beautiful hiking loops with beautiful views are to be done all year round, there is also the very interesting Rouffignac Cave to visit (by train, children love it) and the pretty Castle of Herm closed to the public until 2024... The Sardinian Equestrian Center, which offers rides, also offers a very beautiful show in season. In summer, hot air balloon rides are possible from the exit of the village and for bicycle lovers who are afraid of the coast, electric bikes are available for hire.
