    We did both this and Lascaux IV. I preferred this cave but have to give Lascaux IV a 5* rating too. Visit both if you can and make your own mind up. For me this was a more intimate experience being closer to the original cave in its portrayal and with the benefit of a smaller group and a very knowledgeable guide.

    Excellent guided tour of Lascaux ll. Kids enjoyed it and couldn't believe it is a copy of the original cave. The guide was really engaging and spoke amazing English. Highly recommended - but be sure to book to get a place.

    Very interesting. The guide told a lot about the caves and the people who made the paintings. Still, a lot is simply unknown. Although the cave is a copy, it is still impressive to be in it, you can almost feel the presence of the ancient people that were there some 10,000 years ago.
